Many people buy Faulty Xbox 360 Consoles for either spare parts or to repair and sell on. Many of these are due to the RRoD (Red Ring of Death) which represents a general hardware failure that could be anything from a broken DVD Drive to a faulty HDMI Cable.
The Faulty Xbox 360 Console will show a different number of flashing red lights to represent where the error lies.
- One red light means that there is a major hardware fault or system error which can be fixed depending on which hardware failure this is.
- Two red lights means that the console is overheating and must be switched off to cool.
- Three red lights is the infamous RRoD (Red Ring of Death) which means there is a general hardware failure and it must be sent back to Microsoft for repairs (Or one of many Xbox Repair Services)
- This means that the system cannot find the Xbox 360 AV Cable connected to the machine so it could be a faulty cable or it is not plugged in.
